Races are voted from the left HUD. Collisions are off, so other drivers cannot shove you off the clock. The track and your own car still can. Public servers cap at 15 players. You do not need a limited to finish.
Families
- Circuit. Go-Kart forces a kart for 1, 3, or 6 laps. Circuit is the paved track at 1, 3, or 5 laps. Oval is the banked loop at 2, 8, or 10 laps. Handling beats a top speed you never reach. Oval wants high-speed stability.
- Drag. 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 mile, up to four players. Keep it straight. A crooked half-mile spawn can clip the quarter-mile props.
- Drift. Points, not a finish clock. Use rear-wheel drive, build speed, tap Space, steer in, then countersteer. Holding the handbrake through the whole corner usually spins the car. There is a point cap. Camber and lower traction help a car that will not break loose.
- Endurance. A long course at 1, 2, or 3 laps using highway, tunnel, and desert. A stable grand tourer is easier than a peaky hypercar.
- Mountain. Elevation, a crest, and a split near the peak between a longer tunnel and a cliff ramp. Brakes matter more than a number you only see on the descent.
- Police. Needs at least two players and a vote on each team. Criminals run checkpoints and lose if caught for about three seconds. Police win by tagging every criminal. You pick from a preset pool, not your garage hypercar. This is not the same as Police-lot arrest missions.
- Rally and Street. Rally is dirt, 1 to 3 laps. Desert Race and Dune Race returned with the 8 August 2026 Dune event. Street is the tight city layout. Suspension travel beats paved top speed on sand.
- Pit Race. Made permanent on 28 August 2026 after it had been the Season 31 race.
Custom races that lock a vehicle class are hosted from the Racing dealership.
Voting habit
If the quest only needs a finish, vote the shortest legal option: 1/8-mile drag or one circuit lap. If the quest names a mountain, museum, desert, or Halloween race, that named start is the one that counts. Fog and the later Halloween weather themes hide apexes. Slow the entry instead of raising camera sensitivity.
On 20 October 2026 the RossOx RO71 Venom, a Halloween event car, was retuned to about 298 mph stock and 314 mph (505 km/h) fully upgraded. That is one car's logged change, not a new top speed for the whole catalog.
